Over the past 15 or so years, Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs have established themselves as one of the top show bands not only in Louisiana, but in the entire south.
The Moondogs are a 10-11 piece band from Natchitoches, La., and feature a full horn section, dubbed “The Horny Boys”, two girl singers, “The Lovely Moonbeams”, and, of course, front man Johnny Earthquake.
Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs are available for bookings for festivals, Mardi Gras balls and parties, weddings, and other public and private parties and events.
1This is a kick-ass rock / funk / gospel / swing / blues band producing some dynamite professional music! The Moondogs prove once again that no other Louisiana band can touch them when it comes to great, big R&B Band music.

2I had an absolute blast playing with The Moondogs both live and on their CD. They have got a great, professional group, and I don't know of anyone who has more fun playing music than they do.
James Burton,Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Guitarist
3Augmented by an impressive horn section and some excellent vocal work, the Moondogs ride a tight, fat groove that can only be generated by tireless bar-band vets. Tradition never sounded so good.
Robert Fontenot,Offbeat Magazine: America's Roots Music Magazine
4Unlike any other band in Louisiana, the twelve-piece rock and R&B band Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs have a reputation for making good music and have a whole lot of fun while doing it.
